Hotel Shangri-La, Santa Monica

My stay at the Hotel Shangri-la was impressive. The rooms were much bigger than expected, and I loved the super bathroom and the sea view. However, the soaker tub had rust spots, so I couldn't use it. The service was beyond incredible, with the staff being incredibly accommodating and upbeat. The location was cool, close to the Santa Monica Pier, shopping, and great bars. The dining was good but lacked variety, especially in non-English/American options. Overall, a memorable stay with some minor drawbacks.

The hotel provides spacious rooms that are nice and surprisingly soundproof, although they seemed a bit unkept for the price paid. The generous room size was quite impressive, especially with the option of a kitchenette in some rooms.

I absolutely loved my stay at the hotel! The rooms were absolutely amazing, with two bedrooms, a living room, a huge wrap-around balcony, and a stunning ocean view. They were immaculate, well-appointed, and super comfortable. However, there were issues with the rooms getting really hot, an extra cost added at checkout, very expensive parking, and noise from the bar until the early hours, along with limited access to the sunset due to loud partygoers.
